Mental Health Workshop Speaker

What You'll Do: 

Do you have lived experience of mental health issues?

 

Would you like to help young people aged 16 to 18 by delivering mental health education to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and improve access to support?

 

You will be delivering a short talk (15-20 minutes) about your personal experiences of mental health difficulties and recovery to a large group of students. You will also have the option to support your co-volunteers in facilitating small group discussions.

 

You must be available on one of the following dates from 11:30am to 12:30pm: Wednesday 12 June, Wednesday 19 June, or Wednesday 26 June​ 2024, and be able to travel to Guildford County School, Farnham Road, Guildford, GU2 4LU. There will also be induction and feedback online sessions before and after the programme, lasting about one hour each.

 

​A DBS check is required for this role. These fees and travel expenses within Surrey will be covered by the charity.
