Volunteer Driver

What You'll Do:

Change a life by simply driving a young homeless person to their accommodation that evening.

Nightstop North East helps young people who are in immediate housing crisis by providing safe accommodation in the homes of volunteers called ‘hosts.’ Drivers help the young people get to the accommodation provided by a Nightstop host.

•Develop youth work, loan working, engagement & communication skills.

•While working at the project volunteers have full liability insurance cover.

•Appreciation events to recognise the important contribution that volunteers make.

•Personal & professional development through training and support
•References for hosts will be available after a period of three months volunteering.

•Contribute to a project that really does make a difference to the lives of people.

•Making a difference to your local community

• Out of pocket expenses are paid monthly in arrears, including a mileage rate of 40p per mile for journeys undertaken as part of the role
