Filmspace Workshop Leader/ Assistant Workshop Leader Surrey Libraries

What You'll Do:

Do you have film making or photography skills?
Could you help to lead a workshop to help children to create a video or stop animation? Or could you use your skills to help the owners of start-up businesses create promotional films? Are you available for a few hours on four afternoons in term time? We encourage you to apply with a couple of friends and create a team for this volunteering opportunity.

Surrey Libraries are developing Filmspace at Guildford Library so that everyone can try out film making or create and edit video. We are looking for confident and enthusiastic volunteers with great communication skills to design and lead a short series of workshops (usually 3 in each series) to:

-Create stop animated films with children.
-Help start-up businesses to get started with YouTube or create other promotional material.

We will :

-Provide Padcaster Studios, laptops and the editing software Movavi for you to use.
-Promote and advertise the workshops for you.
-Provide induction training and support.

You will:

-Have significant input into a creative project to design and deliver film making workshops for adults or children.
-What's more you will get real satisfaction from helping people to learn a new skill
-Gain relevant experience of working within a large heritage and learning organisation for your CV.

If you are friendly, patient and confident in the use of film making technology and would like to lead or assist in leading Filmspace workshops go to our website for more information and to apply.
