What You'll Do: 

Surrey Libraries welcome volunteering applications from young people working towards the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

Opportunities for Silver and Bronze Level Duke of Edinburgh awards for this year are now closed and will re-open on 6th April 2020 for placements starting in May/June 2020. Preference will be given to those requesting a six month placement.
Expressions of Interest for Gold level Duke of Edinburgh will be considered at any time.

Gold Duke of Edinburgh applicants can participate in a range library tasks or projects to assist staff during their volunteering placements. You can also choose to undertake one of our existing Library Volunteer roles as part of your award. Suitable roles include Digital Buddies, Library Stock Volunteers, as well as Storytime or Rhymetime Assistants. This will offer the ideal opportunity to develop your interests, enhance a CV or add to a personal statement.
What skills do I need?
Friendliness.
Willingness to work with children.
Willingness to assist with varied library tasks.
