Girlguiding is for girls only and creates a girl only space.
Girlguiding encompasses Rainbows (aged 5-7), Brownies (aged 7-10), Guides (aged 10-14) and Rangers/ Senior Section (aged 14-26) as well as any one over 18 who helps or leads a unit of girls each week, or helps out in an admin role.
Girlguiding offers weekly activities for all girls and encourages them to become independent, make new friends and have fun.
We offer our service to all girls and as we are volunteers the cost to parents is minimal which means that we are not exclusive but very inclusive.
Girls need a place to call their own & not be in competition with boys but they can also try out everything including activities that may be considered "boy " only.
Encouraging girls to speak out & be themselves is what we promote.
Someone who is female and over 18, who is fun, has a sense of humour,is organised, likes working with children, Someone who wants to make a difference.
We offer a girl only space and therefore differ from all other childrens clubs.
We also offer a wide range of activities from crafts to rugby to climbing and walking to camping and dancing. From being a pirate to being a princess and everything else in between.
