Help make our 'Surrey food C0-Op'

What You'll Do:

In 2019 your fellow students passed a motion to run a food 'Co-Op' to be led by students for the benefit of students.

As your Union we were helping an incredible group of student volunteers set up the 'Surrey Co-Op' but then the pandemic hit and most of the original students that were here have since left.

We are now looking for volunteers to join the union and create, together, an amazing food 'Co-Op' for our students. This could not be more needed given the current cost of living crises we face.

As volunteers in this roll you will:

-Work with our VP Community to lead on the project
-Create the 'Co-Op'
-Help manage an in person store at Thursday Market (term time)
-Help order, manage & store stock
-Help create an online store

If you are socially minded and want to be part of this incredible change led by you our student volunteers, then please do apply to this opportunity and lets build a food co-op that helps students have access to food at the best possible prices, in line with our core values to be supportive, approachable, democratic, dynamic and ethical.
